Zhanguo Warring States Red Agate, 40x15x4mm. #3647

Zhanguo Warring States Red Agate, most often is found in colors of vibrant reds, old world orange, electric yellows  and sometimes pure white or metallic black. 

In this particular piece, almost all of those colors are represented. 

This piece is hand cut and hand polished with a natural edge and a free-form, trapezoidal shape. The drilled hole is in the top, canter and will hang in a centered and balanced, vertical appearance on any piece. 

While polished to a high shine, and smooth to the touch, the stone still holds natural characteristics of layered, differing minerals which shine in the shifting light, almost like painted lines on a glass surface.
